When the resolution of the remote device is higher than that of the local screen, or when zoom is enabled, navigating the remote workspace is now even easier and more natural.
An even more intuitive remote access experience
We have introduced a new improvement to our remote desktop and remote access service.
When users connect to a remote PC, Mac, or other device with a higher resolution than their local screen or when they use zoom local scrollbars are no longer displayed within the remote session.
The workspace now adapts more naturally to the available space, and scrolling takes place automatically: simply move the mouse cursor close to the edge of the screen to scroll in the desired direction.
More space to work, fewer distractions
This update makes interacting with the remote device cleaner and more immediate. Local scrollbars no longer take up valuable space, allowing users to focus directly on the applications and content being displayed.
The new feature is particularly useful when:
- the remote device has a higher resolution than the local device;
- zoom is being used to improve content visibility;
- working with applications that require a larger viewing area;
- connecting from a laptop, tablet, or smaller screen;
- looking for an experience that feels more like using a full-screen remote desktop.
How it works
During a remote session, when the content cannot be fully displayed within the available space, simply move the mouse cursor toward one of the edges of the screen.
The remote content will automatically scroll in the corresponding direction, allowing users to quickly reach areas that are not currently visible without using additional scrollbars.
Automatic scrolling is enabled by default whenever it is needed. A dedicated button is also available to disable the feature and display the local scrollbars again.
This allows users to choose between automatic edge scrolling and traditional scrollbar navigation at any time, with no additional configuration required.
