Following the first part of this series describing the security of our infrastructure, let’s now have a look at our data management and our privacy policy.
What information do we stored ?
The only user’s information stored on our servers are:
Authentication data: in order to enable user authentication, to provide support, and to identify premium users, we collect email addresses as well as other non-mandatory personal information. Passwords are, of course, encrypted.
Agent data: we store the names, groups and descriptions of the agents set up by users.
Sharing data: we store the names, the configurations, and the login passwords for shared data.
Access data: we log timestamps at the beginning and at the end of a session, as well as the user IP address.
All encrypted passwords are stored using the hash technique according to the latest security standards so that they cannot be traced back to the password itself.
Furthermore, no data that passes between users and agents is stored on our servers. The primary reason we decided to store access data is to protect our users in case of misuse of our service.
If necessary, and upon a legal request, we need to be able to give this information to competent authorities.
