We have a new node in Belgium !

As DWService continue to grow, we’re opening a new node in the beautiful city of Antwerp, Belgium. This will ensure an overall faster connection on the Old Continent.

As you know, nodes are a central piece of DWService. They permit to establish the connection between the user and the agent installed on the remote machine.

By default, you will connect to the closest node. So the more nodes out there, the faster is your DWService experience. And we cannot be thankfull enough to contributors who decide to invest in the DWService infrastructure.

DWService already has nodes all over the world : California, Texas, Illinois, Virginia, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Singapour and Brazil.

If you are interested in providing us a server, here are the current required specs :

  • Server located within a Web Farm
  • At least 4 core of 3GHz
  • At least 8GB of RAM
  • At least 30GB of HD
  • One public IP Address
  • Bandwidth of at least 256Mbps
  • Unmetered data traffic
  • No Geo-IP restriction
  • Operating system Linux CentOS 7

We’ll thank you with an Advanced subscription which will unlock 20 Mbps of maximum bandwidth.

I still hope you will open source the server structure, this would help differentiate your project, give visibility and increase trust. Charging for subscription is perfectly acceptable, I would be encourage to subscribe. Another possibility is offering support as well. Thanks for the software.

Hello Gustav,

Thanks for your feedback
Opening the server infrastructure is something we want to do but we have other things to work on for now
